Brett Butler's Turn as SR2 Motorsports Heads to Iowa

MOORESVILLE, N.C.  (July 31, 2013) -  While his brother Ken Butler III turned laps at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway last weekend, Brett Butler was focused on this coming weekends NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Iowa Speedway.  For the second time this season, Brett will climb behind the wheel of the No. 24 Toyota of SR2 Motorsports for the running of the US Cellular 250 at the Newton, Iowa track.

"I really love the track and entire facility at Iowa Speedway," stated Butler.  "And their fans are some of the best that we get to see.  I have the most experience at Iowa Speedway of any of the tracks we run in the Nationwide Series and that will be a big help this weekend when we unload.  My last time out in Loudon the team and I worked well together and we made progress with each and every lap.  Our day was ruined when we got wrecked but I came away from it with a very positive outlook with the way we ran.  We will utilize all of that this weekend when we unload and I look forward to a strong performance at one of my favorite tracks."

While this will be only Brett's second start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series he has plenty of experience at the Iowa Speedway facility.  He has a total of five previous starts at the track in the NASCAR Camping World Series, ARCA Racing Series and Hooters Pro Cup Series.  All of those previous starts were top-18 finishes with a best of sixth in the 2009 Hooters event.

Butler and SR2 Motorsports will once again be joined by a group of supporting sponsors led by M&W Transportation.  Founded by Jim McFarlin in 1973 with only two trucks, today M&W Transportation remains a family-owned and operated company which has grown to operate over 90 power units and 400 trailers with over 400,000 square feet in warehouse space.

Joining M&W will be longtime SR2 sponsor SupportMilitary.org, America's validation authority for organizations supporting our military. Support Military Foundation is charged to provide America with a gateway to verified organizations.

Brett will be joined by SR2 Motorsports teammate Blake Koch who will pilot the No. 00 Toyota for the team.  The event will be Blake's 16th start of the season and he currently sits 24th in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver standings.

The running of the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 3, 2013.  The race can be viewed LIVE nationally on ESPN2 and heard on affiliated MRN radio stations and on Sirius NASCAR Radio 90.
