Brett Butler Excited for Debut with SR2 Motorsports

MOORESVILLE, N.C.  (July 9, 2013) -- It has been a long three years away from racing for Brett Butler but that all ends this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  Brett returns to NASCAR competition behind the wheel of the No. 24 Toyota as he makes his Nationwide Series debut for the SR2 Motorsports team.  The Georgia native will be supported by fellow Georgia companies - 5 Star Lodge and Stables and Taylor Brooks Salons.
  
"I am really excited to make my debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series," stated Butler.  "This program we have put together with me and my brother is really cool but the hard part was I had to sit back and watch him race the first few races.  But now it is my turn and I am more than ready.  I got to test with the SR2 Motorsports team in preparing for this debut and I really took a liking to this Nationwide car.  My brother (KB3) had some great runs his first few times out with the team and I look to follow that up with a solid run this weekend in New Hampshire."

Butler will be making his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut and his debut at the 1-mile flat oval of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.  The start on Saturday will be his 20th career start in the NASCAR ranks as he has 19 career starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with the last coming back in the 2010 season.

Brett will be joined in New Hampshire by SR2 Motorsports teammate Blake Koch as he will pilot the No. 00 Toyota for the team.  This will be Blake's 14th start of the season and he currently sits 22nd in the series drivers' standings.

The running of the CNBC Prime's The Profit 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 13, 2013.  The race can be viewed LIVE nationally on ESPN and heard on affiliated PRN radio stations and on Sirius NASCAR Radio 90.
