ML Motorsports Nashville Preview

WARSAW, Ind. - After being hit with some mid-race blues at Bristol Motor Speedway, Shelby Howard and ML Motorsports are ready to rock ‘n roll this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway.

Making his 30th start in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, 24-year-old Howard was running well at Bristol Motor Speedway when his #70 Foretravel Motorcoach Chevrolet was involved in contact with the 34 car of Tony Raines and then broadsided by the 64 car of Brendan Gaughan. Although the crew tried valiantly to repair the car, the lower control arm was broke and the day was over for Howard and the 70 Team.

“We definitely had a top 15 car” Howard said of Bristol. “I was hoping for a top 15 finish. The guys worked so hard on the car. The wreck, it was just one of those things that was out of our control.”

With that misfortune behind them, Howard and Team 70 go into this weekend’s race with a positive outlook and high hopes for the rest of the season. Last April, Howard finished 14th at Nashville Superspeedway in only his 2nd start for ML Motorsports.

The Marriott in Franklin, Tennessee will be on board the #70 Chevrolet this weekend as an associate sponsor. “We’re looking forward to partnering with the Marriott this weekend” states team manager, Tony Barnes. “The Marriott is close to the track and myself and the team appreciate their hospitality and sponsorship”.

Howard and Team 70 are scheduled to compete in 18 more NASCAR Nationwide Series races together this season.
